0xGames is finally announcing a grand update for its flagship project 0xUniverse. The open-economy strategy has integrated the Matic Network blockchain. Along with the space exploration game, the studio’s two other projects – 0xRacers and 0xWarriors – are going to welcome the new platform as well.
Matic Network is a Layer 2 scaling solution that achieves scale by utilizing sidechains for off-chain computation while ensuring asset security using the Plasma framework and a decentralized network of Proof-of-Stake (PoS) validators. It aims to bring massive scale to Ethereum and solve the traditional Ethereum-specific problems – slow block confirmation and high gas fees – to improve mass adoption.
0xUniverse has been an Ethereum-only game since 2018. This has changed now with the team releasing a brand-new Matic galaxy. The team believes that this integration should enhance cross-chain interaction and bring in more players into the world of space mysteries! Space explorers are thrilled to find new legendary planets with minimal transaction fees.
